The Encore Organisation is a marketing communications and public relations agency providing a full range of services, including marketing strategy, design and print, media relations, events and web design. In order to sell products and services successfully, companies must ensure resources are targeted at the right market in a timely fashion, according to market conditions and competitor offerings.

We work with clients to prepare short, medium and long term strategies and action plans and manage customer perceptions through: effective PR management; good quality, innovative and crisply written documents, advertisements, display materials and web sites; targeted market research; and targeted tele-marketing campaigns and direct mail.

Public Relations is about reputation management and we undertake a number of activities to ensure that reputations provide a positive impact – whether it be for an individual or a business. As part of extensive PR strategies we offer comprehensive media relations campaigns. The media carries considerable influence over people's perceptions, so it is imperative clients enjoy a good relationship with journalists. To achieve this, an organisation's story must be taken to the media in a form they will appreciate and understand. We specialise in cultivating relationships with journalists; sending them relevant material and talking to them about forthcoming features.

To do this we undertake: press release planning, writing and distribution; forward feature planning; distribution of photographs and illustrations as requested; forward planning for trade exhibitions, feature opportunities, and speaking engagement opportunities; prepare press packs for trade shows; and provide 24/7 crisis communications cover. Planning a media campaign involves planning clear objectives and targeting information releases to a range of stakeholders, thinking about who wants to know the information and how they want to receive it. Campaigns can include media relations work, designing promotional material such as banners, leaflets and brochures, event management, telemarketing, web design or consultations.

We plan, create and manage events of all sorts and sizes; from small focus groups or consultation events to major conferences. Our links with conferencing venues make the company well placed to deliver a high quality and efficient service, at competitive rates.

An organisation’s corporate identity is one of its most valuable assets; it’s the face the consumer sees. To get this right, it’s important to think about what message your organisation wants to send out, and maintain a strong identity – in a consistent manner - across the whole portfolio of literature, point of sale and signage. So we provide creative copy writing, innovative techniques, and design using the latest software, to create adverts that stand out in the crowd - and bring customers to your door.

Encore creates adverts for print, radio or television, as well as for product and sales literature, point of sale materials and packaging. Our energetic design team will advise and create a range of design ideas – until we find the one that best suits client requirements. So whether a corporate identity needs creating or rejuvenating, Encore’s design team is on hand to help

Being paid to state the obvious- a paper just published at the LSE

Credit crunch will mean short-term contracts for new employees
The credit crunch means that companies will be much more likely to offer employees short-term contracts rather than permanent jobs, according to new research.
